Peter Anaadumba, President
Peter Anaadumba, President
Anaadumba Peter, the co-founder and President of CID-Ghana, was born in 1979 in Tamale, the capital of Northern Region. This is also where he grew up and received his schooling. Before starting CID-Ghana Peter worked in various fields of work on the side of schooling. He worked with the Ghana Cotton Company for a year, did voluntary work in the Tamale children home and taught at local schools.

For Peter volunteering was a mean he thought could be used to bridge the gap between youth from different culture backgrounds and at the same time important in striving for development. After five years at the Tamale Polytechnics Peter is a graduate of High National Diploma in Accounting and has a Diploma in Business Studies.

Apart from schooling he has also attended seminars on volunteering both at local and international level. Right now Peter is pursuing his MBA studies of project management in Paris, France. He will from there assist all the country directors and run fundraising activities.

Moa Isacsson, Vice President
Moa Isacsson, Vice President
Moa Isacsson, born in Sweden 1981, is the Vice President and co-founder of CID-Ghana. Moa was in Tamale for half a year in 2001 and was involved in many projects and she wanted to continue the work and contact with Ghana when coming back to Sweden. CID was founded after a lot of long discussions with Peter when they realized that together they could with small means do something to meet the needs of the locals. At the same time Moa wanted to broaden the possibility for people from her own country to come and experience life in Ghana.

Moa has a masters in Molecular Biology and Infectious Disease Control from Sweden. Now she just came back to Sweden from a six month assignment at the Ghana Health Service. As vice president she is looking over the work and structure of CID, to see that the different areas of work are kept on track and in accordance to the goal and values of the organization. She is also responsible for the homepage, in making it an accurate reflection of what CID Ghana is and stands for.

Iddrisu Mohammed Awal, Administrator

The Administrator of CID-Ghana, Iddrisu Mohammed Awal was born in 1986 in Tamale the capital of Northern Region of Ghana. He has advanced certificate /diploma in accountancy (R.S.A stage II and III) at Tamale Business College International, Ghana.

His interest in working with CID-Ghana is to experience work in development (social work). Before becoming a full time worker for CID-Ghana, he was on attachment in the office from August 2005 for three months.

Awal's personal objective is to work and share experience with people with different cultural background as well as gain practical work experience. Awal's duties in CID-Ghana include forecasting, budgeting and monitoring of the financial activities in Ghana. He is also reporting and rendering financial advise to the management and manage the computer networking system (L.A.N-W.A.N).

Abudu Jemima - Assistant Program Coordinator
Abudu Jemima - Assistant Head Coordinator
Abudu Jemima was born on the 6th May, 1983 in the northern region of Ghana. 'Jimmy' as she is affectionately called works as the Assistant Program Coordinator.

In the year 2006, she enrolled at the Tamale Polytechnic where she offered Secretariatship and Management. Jimmy obtained a Diploma in her chosen field in July 2007.

Between October and December 2007, Jimmy did her attachment with CID-Ghana after which she was absorbed into the organization because of her hard work and diligence. She assists the Program Coordinator during on the work with volunteers like the orientation and arranging host families and work places. Due to her flexibility, she works with all departments when her services are needed.

Jimmy is affable, hard working and has a good sense of humour. Her hobbies are listening to music as well as reading story books.

Jun Zhang, born in 1979 in China, now is studying her second Master’s Degree in development studies in Belgium.

She had worked in a Chinese university as Lecturer for seven year until she found her growing interest in social development issues. She interned in CID office for three months from June to September 2010, and later undertook a United Nations volunteer assignment in quality of Project Officer of Capacity Building and Support Officer of Environmental Awareness in the project *Strengthening Volunteerism for Development in China* from January to July 2011. These experiences reinforce her determination to work in the development area.

China is one of the developing countries, sharing the same developing agenda with Africa. She believes that she’s here not to help Ghanaians, but to develop together with Ghanaians. She hopes her join in CID will bring cultural diversity and a new perspective to solutions of social issues.

As for the sponsorship, I'd like to sponsor two little girls from primary school. I'm planning to support them from primary continuously to advanced education as long as they feel like studying.

Ieteke Bos, Country Director, The Netherlands
Ieteke Bos
Ieteke Bos is the Country Director of The Netherlands and has worked with CID-Ghana since the summer of 2008. Ieteke was born in 1981 and is now working as a consultant for literacy, policy and education in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. After finishing her study in Policy, Organization and Communication at the University of Amsterdam (VU), she wanted to go abroad before she started her career. She decided to apply for a volunteer job at a women's development organization and chose CID Ghana due to their cooperation with the Ghanaian NGO Girls Growth and Development (GIGDEV).

Ieteke started working there in 2006 for three months. She was teaching the analfabetic girls how to read and write and started up a bead-workshop for the girls. She enjoyed the people, the work and the chance to be part of a Ghanaian family. This experience was always on her mind and when Peter asked her to be Country Director she just couldn't say no! As Country Director, secretary and financial administrator of the Dutch foundation, Ieteke is coordinating CID's work in Holland together with other enthousiastic CID Ghana fans.

Rosalie de Best, Volunteer Coordinator, The Netherlands

Rosalie de Best, volunteer coordinator, the Netherlands Rosalie (1977) was a CID volunteer for five months in 2006. She and her husband were the first volunteers in Kootingli village. It was a fantastic experience for both of them. They helped the villagers set up a nursery. Rosalie really enjoyed being surrounded by all those happy kids who were so excited to go to school. In 2008 she joined the CID Ghana work group. She worked as a fund raiser and assisted the former volunteer coordinator. From August 2010 onwards she will be the Volunteer Coordinator in Holland. Her primary responsibilities are to recruit new volunteers, interview them and prepare them for their stay in Ghana. She hopes all volunteers will have a wonderful, meaningful, and educational stay in Ghana and she will do her best to assist them achieve this goal in every way possible.

In the Netherlands Rosalie works as a social therapist with adolescents with psychiatrical problems. Besides that she has her own practice for body and mind psychotherapy.

Ryan W.Thompson is the Country Director of UK and Ireland since spring 2006. Ryan was born in November 1970 in Northern Ireland and come from a farming background. He have studied Physics at The Queens University of Belfast and later gained a PhD. there in Atomic and Molecular Physics. After this he spent 2 years as a researcher in Aarhus University, Denmark. Now Ryan is working in Northern Ireland for a company, Seagate technology, that makes hard drive memory systems for computers, mp3 players and phones etc.

Ryan says he has always been interested in Africa and African issues. When travelling in Ghana in the spring of 2006 he was introduced to Peter Anaadumba who showed him the work and projects of CID-Ghana. When getting to know the organization and the projects Ryan felt that he wanted to work with CID when he returned home. He will recruit volunteers and students as well as establish contacts with sponsors and cooperating organizations in the UK-Ireland area.

Elin Jonsson, Country Director, Sweden

Elin Jonsson is the Country Director of Sweden since January 2008. Elin was born in 1981 and lives outside Stockholm in Sweden. The summer of 2007 she took her master exam in public health. Since November 2008 Elin is working in a suburb outside Stockholm as a coordinator with tasks concerning elderly and people with disabilities.

The summer of 2005 Elin visited Ghana during 5 weeks. She enjoyed her stay a lot and became impressed of the work within CID Ghana. When she came back to Sweden her interest of working with CID increased and when she took her university degree she finally found the time to become a part of the organisation.

As the Country Director of Sweden, Elin is coordinating the work of Sweden and she is trying to make CID known in Sweden and arrange different events to collect money. Elin is also working with fundraising.
