This is CID GHANA
CID-Ghana, Cooperation for Integrated Development Ghana, is a development organization based in Tamale of northern Ghana. CID acts in two main ways, through development projects and through creating a direct link between Ghana and other parts of the world.

The vision of CID-Ghana is to work on programs and projects that will support the development of northern Ghana by creating chances for the locals to carry through their own ideas and projects. CID also supports the communities with school fees and health information.

CID GHANA

The idea of CID started in 2002 and the organization has since then matured into the form it has today with staff in five countries: Ghana, Sweden, Belgium, Holland and Ireland-UK. CID-Ghana is registered under the Companies code of Ghana as a non-profit Non Governmental Organization with a staff made up of volunteers.

The CID development-projects are initiated to help locals carry through changes that they think are needed to improve life in their area. The projects include the building and running of schools, sponsorships to schoolchildren and capacity building training as well as micro business support and giving health education in clinics and in the communities. CID runs the projects by funding and organizing the initial work together with a local committee.

Due to the belief that intercultural meetings and exchange leads to development of both parties CID-Ghana organizes volunteer and education programs through which people from abroad can come to Ghana. The volunteers are selected to workplaces in need of help and students can take courses or do their thesis and internships in Ghana. During the time in Ghana most of the program participants live with local families for a deeper cultural exchange and experience.
